The next prompt will ask you to enter PIN to show balance for your account number. The 10-digit account number shown is your Smartcash wallet account number.


Cash Deposit via Smartcash Agents

You can also fund your Smartcash wallet via cash deposits with Smartcash agents.


With Smartcash agents you can find your wallet either via your Airtel phone number or your Smartcash account number.


The only issue with this funding method is that Smartcash agents might not be close to your location.


Where I live, the closest Smartcash agent is about 5km away, and that's too far to access without spending on transportation.


The alternative for this is to fund your Smartcash wallet via POS agents that are around. 


Simply provide your Smartcash 10-digit account number, and fund via cash deposit.

Cash Requests from other Smartcash Wallet

This is the coolest way to fund your Smartcash wallet via p2p.


With this funding method, you won't have to pay any charges for deposits. Cool right?


So, you could ask a friend or family to send you money by simply making a cash request from Smartcash.


Here's how to do it.


Simply dial *939# from the Airtel SIM used to open your Smartcash account.


Then input 1 in the prompt to add money.



In the next prompt, input 3 for 'A friend'



In the next prompt, enter the friend's phone number 



In the next prompt, enter the amount you want to request



In the next prompt, enter your Smartcash PIN to confirm.



If your PIN is correct, a message will be sent to the friend to accept the cash request.


Once they accept the cash request, the requested amount will be transfered from the friend's smartcash wallet to your Smartcash wallet.
