Project Hope aka Nigerian Poverty Alleviation Subsidy Commission, is promising to offer subsidized items and cash prizes to Nigerians through its website at Nigerianpasc.
However, many users have been complaining of never receiving any benefits or winnings from the website despite paying money to enter several draws.
So, the question is, is the project hope a real project? Do they offer real poverty alleviation subsidy? Or are they just preying on gullible Nigerians?
In this review, we’ll take a look at the programme to ascertain if it’s a legit government intervention program or just another big fat fraudulent scheme waiting to burst.

The Project Hope website works like an auction marketplace where users stake their funds towards purchasing items at discount prices or winning cash prizes.
Users can purchase items such as foodstuff, electronics, mobile phones, and accessories for discount prizes.
The process works like a lottery where a draw is conducted after a particular item or offering has been completely subscribed for by users.
Once the subscription for an item reaches 100%, a draw is conducted among users who subscribed for that item, and a winner emerges from the draw.
Is Project Hope Real or Fake?
In my opinion, the project seems suspicious.
Firstly, the project tries to disguise itself as a government intervention programme by using terms that the Nigerian government would usually use such as “hope”, “commission”, “poverty alleviation”, “subsidy”, etc.
However, in reality, this programme is a lottery project at best, with announced winners shrouded in mystery.
They claim that a draw is conducted and the computer selects a winner. Which means that users are actually just betting their money in hope that they get lucky, which is most likely never going to happen.
So, if I’m pressed to conclude whether this project is real or fake, I’ll definitely say it’s a fake programme.
Like they say, if it looks like a fake and operates like a fake, it’s definitely a fake.

To get started on the programme, you have to first register on their website on Nigerianpasc, which suspiciously demands for your NIN.
I had to input a fake NIN and a fake referral code, which surprisingly worked. That is another proof that this is a fake programme, since a legit government intervention programme would verify each individual user for authenticity in other to prevent users from gaming the system.
The website however require identity verification on a second level, which users can do by uploading the front and back snapshot of their identity cards. Well, that’s a risk I wouldn’t want to take.
How Can You Make Money With Project Hope?
Users can make money on the Project Hope website by staking on discount items and cash prizes.
The staking amounts are usually about 1 to 10% of the listed items, so it looks very tempting to stake for items on the website.
For example, users can bid for a 50kg bag of rice, which costs over 80k Naira, for less than 200 Naira.
For many gullible users, this might be a risk worth taking, but when you consider that users could bid for more than one item on the website, you’ll start to realize that a user could easily splash over 2k per day bidding for discount items without realizing it.
Users can also make money on Project Hope via referrals.
Referrals can be accumulated up to 3-levels, which gives a referee a percentage of whatever their referral spends on the platform.
So, practically, this is a sort of lottery plus ponzi scheme in one project, eh?
How much can you make with Project Hope?
They promise you hope. They promise you a chance to win expensive items at discount prizes and cash prizes earned by just staking a token.
However, there are no guarantees to how much you can make with Project Hope, or if you’ll even make any money at all.
So, the risk is on the users. They’ll have to decide if they are willing to stake money that they can afford to lose.
Is Project Hope Legit or Scam?
From all indications, it looks scammy.
Firstly, they are disguised as a government intervention programme, but in reality, they are running a lottery plus ponzi scheme.
And to top it up, there is no proof that they are registered with the Nigerian lottery commission.
Just a website selling you hope and collecting your money bits by bits.
Positives about Project Hope
The only positive about this website is that they try to offer items and cash prizes on discount to users.
But the question is, does this work in reality?
Do they actually have real winners? Do the average user have a legitimate chance of winning a discounted item on the platform?
Well, your guess is as good as mine.
Negatives about Project Hope
I’ve maintained that the whole platform does not act like what it says it is.
This is not a poverty alleviation programme.
This is not a subsidy commission from the Nigerian government.
This is a lottery.
This is a ponzi scheme.
They will take your money and there is no guarantee that you’ll make any money.
Should you Invest your money with Project Hope?
I wouldn’t do that or advise anyone to.
There are many other legitimate betting and staking companies in Nigeria that are regulated by the government and offer better chances of winning than this “Project Hope.”
So, the website has a low trust score in my evaluation and shouldn’t be recommended.
However, if you choose to put your money in the scheme, maybe out of curiosity, it’s advisable to do so with only money you can afford to lose.
